A Peace Pole is a hand-crafted monument that displays the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” usually in a different language on each side. There are 300,000 Peace Poles in 200 countries all over the world dedicated as monuments to peace. They serve as constant reminders for us to visualize and pray for world peace. In 2010, United Neighbors launched a Peace Pole initiative that resulted in over 30 community partners planting close to 50 peace poles throughout the community. A special thanks to YouthBuild for helping build many of those poles.
The Peace & Conflict Resolution Sub-Committee of the Rotary Club of Fall River has created a map of current Peace Pole locations https://www.peacepoleproject.org/plantpeacepolemap/ . To see all the Peace Poles in Fall River, click Find a Peace Pole and type in Fall River.
All visitors can see the HealthFirst Peace Pole as they enter our main entrance.
